Troubleshooting your order...

Clearing your cache (old web pages, outdated cookies, or a crowded Web history) is a great first step in troubleshooting any Internet problem that you think might be a browser problem and it is completely safe to do so. Examples of technical problems that might be cured by clearing your cache:

  • No web page displayed Can't access online full text
  • Error messages

To fix this, delete your temporary Internet files, your cookies, and your Web history. It might take up to a few minutes for all these unnecessary files to be deleted. Internet Explorer 6:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. Click Delete Files and then check the Delete all offline content box. Click OK to confirm. Click Delete Cookies. Click OK to confirm. Click Clear History. Click Yes to confirm.
  2. Click OK.

Netscape or Mozilla

Go to your Edit menu. Choose "Preferences". There is a section on "Preferences" called "Advanced". You may need to expand this section by clicking on the little triangle or plus sign icon immediately to the left of the word "Advanced". Once you've done that you will se an entry called Cache. Click on that one.  

Firefox

  1. Click Tools then Options. Click Privacy. Click Clear across from the Cookies option. Click Ok to return to the browser main page.
  2. Exit and relaunch the browser.

WindowsYou can also clear these files through your system by doing a "Disk Cleanup" on your computer. Make sure all your browser windows have been closed. Then goto:

Start  >  Accessories  >   System Tools   >  Disk Cleanup

Macintosh

  • In the Internet Explorer window, click the Explorer or Edit menu. Click Preferences. Click Advanced. Click Empty Now.
  • Click OK.

To ensure you always use new (non-cached) versions of Web pages, click Internet Options, click Settings, and then click Every visit to the page. Click OK to save your changes.To keep your Web history light, you can set the number of days you want to store by using the arrows next to the Clear History button. You will have more current information by choosing fewer days.For information on deleting cookies and clearing the Web history, consult your browser's Help.
